Xtreme Solutions is on a mission to train and equip individuals to protect and safeguard their digital assets against the latest threats. The Security+ training course will teach individuals how to ward off cyber attacks, thwart hijacks, and prevent data breaches that result in millions of dollars lost and countless lives ruined. Course Description
Instructor-led course which prepares each student for the CompTIA Security+ certification exam. The CompTIA Security+ exam will certify that the successful candidate has the knowledge and skills required to identify risk, to participate in risk mitigation activities, and to provide infrastructure, application, information, and operational security. In addition, the successful candidate will apply security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability; identify appropriate technologies and products; troubleshoot security events and incidents; and operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations. This course demonstrates competency in the following domains:

1.0 Threats, Attacks and Vulnerabilities 21%
2.0 Technologies and Tools 22%
3.0 Architecture and Design 15%
4.0 Identity and Access Management 16%
5.0 Risk Management 14%
6.0 Cryptography and PKI 12%

Michael Artis

Mr. Artis is retired from the United States Army as of Jan 2015.  Mr. Artis served honorably  in various positions from instructor, Infantry signal line chief, recruiter and ceremonial escort to the President of the United States.   He has deployed a total of 5 tours to 3 different combat theaters.   Michael has been instructing  Information Technology for over 17 years.  


Michael holds a MBA in Project Management and he also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northcentral University in Sports Management. He currently holds industry standard certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), CompTIA Security+ and Network +.  He also holds a certification from the Linux Professional Institute (Linux Essentials) and is currently a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.  


Michael is currently a Senior Instructor at Liedos Defense Systems working out of Fort Gordon, GA. His current duties include, but are not limited to, teaching various Cyber Security Courses, instructional design, course development, and instructional technology.  


Xtreme I.C.E. is an Education, Research & Training Solution that offers a virtual environment that is used for cyberwarfare training and cybertechnology development. It provides tools that help strengthen the stability, security and performance of cyberinfrastructures and IT systems used by government, military agencies, academia, commercial industries, and private installations.

Xtreme I.C.E. functions like a flight simulator, facilitating training in maneuvering, weapons, operations and tactics. Thus, cyberwarriors and IT professionals employed by various agencies can train, develop and test cyber range technologies while re-enforcing skills to ensure consistent operations and readiness for real world deployment.
